Morgan F. Hayes Jr.

Mr. Morgan F. Hayes, Jr. passed away Monday, November 1, 2010 at Detroit Medical Center. Age 75 years. He was born April 12, 1935 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Anna (Schaeding) and Morgan F. Hayes Sr.. He retired from General Motors Co.- Grey Iron Foundry and an operator/boilermaker, served with the United States Army and was a member of the Turkey Federation. Morgan enjoyed hunting, fishing and will be remembered as a very outgoing man. Surviving are two daughters and three sons-in-law; Wendy and Steve Blackwell of Pinconning, Jamie and Kerry Schweinsberg of Pinconning and Joseph Kolka of Bay City, and one son and daughter-in-law; Morgan III and Joann Hayes of Kawkawlin, his wife; Judy Hayes of Kawkawlin, fifteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren, the mother of his children; Goldie Joann Hayes of Bay City, three brothers; Durrell "Buck" Hayes of AuGres, Kenneth and Harriette Hayes of Saginaw, Raymond "Bill" and Marge Hayes of Saginaw, one sister; Marion "Min" Poineua of Linwood, brother-in-law; William Rye of GA, sisters-in-law; Nina Guindon of Bay City and Margaret Webber of Bay City and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter; Charlotte "Scotty" Kolka, one brother; Bernard "Sam" Hayes, one sister; Meta "Chum" Premo and his mother-in-law and sister-in-law; Charlotte and William Rye. Funeral and Committal services will take place Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Judy Wilcox under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council with private inurnment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and Friday from 10:00 to the time of service. Memorial cards for the Wishes of the Family will be available at the funeral home.
