Muriel A. Reif

Reif, Muriel A. Bay City, Michigan Mrs. Reif passed away early Friday morning January 10, 2014 at Heartland Hampton at the age of 86 years. She was born February 28, 1927 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. Mrs. Reif was a member of Trinity Episcopal Church, the St. Elizabeth Guild, sang in the Church Choir and enjoyed playing in the Hand Bell Choir. She retired from Sears and Roebuck Co. in Bay City after forty three years of service. On September 23, 1950 she married her husband of 63 years Robert W. Reif and he survives her passing along with one daughter and son-in-law; Sue and Dave Clements, one son and daughter-in-law; Scott and Carolyn Reif, three grandchildren; Wesley, Anna and Robert Reif and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; Clarence and Zoa Belle (Hughes) Atkinson and five brothers; Captain Roy C., Ross W., Russell H., Clarence C. and Eugene F. Atkinson. The family would like to extend a special thank you to everyone at Heartland Hampton for the outstanding care they provided to Mrs. Reif during the time they cared for her. Funeral Services will take place Tuesday, January 14, 2013 at 1:00 p.m. at Trinity Episcopal Church. Officiating will be The Rev. Ann Grady with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. The family will be present at the church on Tuesday to receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. and until the time of service.
