Naida J. Vernon

Mrs. Vernon passed away peacefully Sunday evening March 13, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 85 years. The daughter of the late Howard C. and Bernice (Birman) Bryans was born July 16, 1930 in Hastings, Michigan and has resided in Bay County for many years. She was a former librarian at Edison School in Bay City, enjoyed traveling and playing bridge with her husband. Left behind to cherish her memories are two sons and two daughters-in-law; Thomas and Sandra Vernon and Bradley and Bethany Vernon, her grandchildren; Samantha (Jesse), Hollie, Abigail, Emilee, John, Elizabeth (Mark), Zachary and Michael, great grandchildren; Skylene, Zane and Sutton, one sister and two brothers-in-law; Neva and William Kenyon and Robert Biggs, three brothers and three sisters-in-law; Norman and Joanne Bryans, Dale and Barbara Bryans and Jerry and Margaret Bryans, many nieces, nephews and her special friend; Val Schweiss. She was preceded in death by her husband; Walter Vernon Jr., one son; Scott Vernon, two sisters; Marjorie Noffke and Marvel Biggs and one brother; Jack Bryans. The Vernon Family would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to the staff on the 5th floor at McLaren Bay Region especially Gary, Cindy, Judi, Liz, Dr. Dandamudi and Dr. Ahmed and Brookdale Assisted Living for the kind and compassionate care they provided for Mrs. Vernon during the time they cared for her. At the request of Mrs. Vernon cremation has taken place at Country Roads Crematory and private inurnment will take place in St. Patrick's Cemetery. A private memorial service is being planned for a later date. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the American Lung Association.
