Nancy A. Hawes

Mrs. Nancy A. Hawes, of Bay City, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2014 at McLaren Bay Region, age 97. The daughter of the late William and Lena (Knodel) Borch, she was born April 13, 1917 in Bay County. Nancy and her husband Frank were the former owners of the Linwood Party Shop. She was a member of First Presbyterian Church. In 1938 Nancy married Frank B. Hawes and he preceded her in death in 1993. She is survived by two children, Timothy (Mona) Hawes of Cape Coral, FL and Heather (Scott) Trylch of Bay City; seven grandchildren, Todd Hawes, Douglas Hawes, Laura Hawes, Burgundy King, Timothy Hawes, Jr., Stephanie Downing and Allison Pelletier; 11 great-grandchildren; seven great-great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Nancy was also preceded in death by a son, Thomas Hawes in 2012. Private family services will take place at the Gephart Funeral Home with The Rev. Dr. Jeffrey D. Weenink officiating and entombment was in Floral Gardens Mausoleum.
