Nancy M. Kochanny

Our loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother Nancy Kochanny, 89 years, passed away May 9, 2023 at McLaren Hospital surrounded with the love of her four children. She was born on May 5, 1934. Nancy would have been married for 69 years on May 8th. Nancy Loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. She loved visiting and playing games with her friends at Woodhaven. In her younger years our mom was an avid reader, she loved playing cards and board games. She loved watching football, one of her greatest joys were the Michigan State Spartans.
Nancy is survived by her four children Kelly (Mike) Charbonneau, Kristy (Ed) King, LeeAnn (Larry) Green, and Theodore (Debby) Kochanny; eight grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; brother Michael Pettigrew; and sister Carol Maples. Nancy Is preceded in death by her husband Theodore Sr.; parents Leo & Margret Pettigrew; brothers Lional & Wilfred Pettigrew; in-laws Harry & Hazel.
The family would like to thank the staff at Woodhaven for the love, care, and friendship you have shown our mother over these few years.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 Catherine of Siena Parish, celebrant reverend Father James Bessert with burial following at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may meet with the family on Monday, May 15, 2023 at Gephart Funeral Home from 2:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. with a Vigil Service at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Kochanny will lie in state at the church on Tuesday, May 16, 2023 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to wishes of the family.
