Nancy R. Maxwell

Nancy Ruth (Vogtmann) Maxwell passed away Wednesday afternoon, January 8, 2020 at home, with her family by her side. She was born December 5, 1955 to her parents, Arnold and Ruth (Klaus) Vogtmann and lived in Frankenlust Township her entire life. Nancy was a lifelong member of St. Paul Lutheran Church Frankenlust and a 1974 graduate of T.L. Handy High School. On August 6, 1983, she married David Allen Maxwell. Together they celebrated 36 anniversaries and were blessed with two children. Nancy held numerous jobs within the community and retired from Kroger in 2016. Nancy was born with an amazing green thumb, with summers spent tending to her strawberries, raspberries, and vegetable garden. Always wanting to contribute, she selflessly devoted her life to her family.  Her greatest joy was spending time with and caring for her family. She will be deeply missed.
Nancy is survived by her husband, David, her son, Mark (Sarah) Maxwell, and daughter, Rachel (Tyler) Ruppert. Nancy was predeceased by her parents, and in-laws, George and Doris (Schmidt) Maxwell. She leaves behind one sister and two brothers, Shirley (Ronald) Wenglikowski, Alvin (Diane) Vogtmann and Larry (Tammie) Vogtmann. Also surviving are her in-laws: Sharon Maxwell, Sandra Maxwell, Thomas Maxwell (Jeanne), Judith Maxwell, Karen Maxwell, Michael (Christine) Maxwell, Diane (Gordon) Johnstone and Joel (Laurie) Maxwell.
