Ned George Waibel

March 7, 1954 — May 9, 2016

Ned George Waibel

Our loving husband, father, grandfather and brother passed away suddenly Monday May 9, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 62 years.  The son of the late George J. and Marie L. (Wieland) Waibel was born March 7, 1954 in Bay City, Michigan and has resided here all of his life.  Ned faithfully attended Kawkawlin Community Church and graduated from T.L. Handy High School in 1972.  Ned was a beekeeper, owned and operated Super Bee Apiaries in Kawkawlin, enjoyed cross country skiing, walking his dog Jasper and most of all he had a great love for God and his family.  He and Jeanette studied scripture every single day, starting the day with a Bible verse and prayer, and ending every day with an audio sermon to get a better understanding of the verse.  Ned was never ashamed or embarrassed to share his love of God with anyone who would listen.  He always said he did not fear death and he was ready.
On March 31, 2007 Ned married his wife of nine years, Jeanette, who he absolutely adored and she is left to cherish his memories along with three children and their spouses; Bradley and Amanda MacBeth, Regina and Rodney Martin and Jennifer and William Sturgill, five grandchildren; Aubrey, Logan, Chloe, Gabriel and Lydia, two brothers; Eugene L. (Butch) Waibel and Mark Waibel, two sisters; Joy Marie and Don Hannegan and Jill A. Weiss, a special cousin; Bob Stange, two aunts, his father and mother-in-law; Howard and Rena Priddy and several brothers and sisters-in-law and their families; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.  Besides his parents George and Marie he was preceded in death by one sister-in-law; Linda Waibel, one brother-in-law; Ronald Weiss and a special aunt; Emma Waibel.
Funeral Services will take place Friday, May 13, 2016 at 12:00 O'clock noon at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.  Officiating will be Rev. David Dunn.  The Clergy of the Apostolic Christian Church will conduct the Committal Service following at Heavenly Rest Cemetery in Kawkawlin.  The family will be present at the funeral home on Thursday to receive visitors from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service.  Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to the "Wishes of the Family". www.gephartfuneralhome.com
