Mrs. Norma Jean Clark, of Bay City, passed away early Monday morning, January 5, 2015, at the Aberdeen Skilled Nursing Center in Trenton, MI, at the age of 81. The daughter of the late Russell and Priscilla (Yates) Gifford, she was born on June 9, 1933, in Ashland, KY and has resided in Bay City since the 1950's. She was married to Opia C. Clark and he preceded her in death in 2002. Norma was a devoted wife, loving mother and grandmother, who always put family first. Family reunions at the cottage and holiday gatherings were amongst her favorites. Mrs. Clark is survived by two sons, James (Gloria) Clark of Belleville and Timothy (Janece) Clark of Petoskey; her grandchildren, Jason (Jacqueline Saygay) Clark, Melanie (Paul) Huntoon, Nathan (fiance, Melissa) Clark, Krystal Clark, Brandon Clark, Curtis Clark and Josilyn Clark; a great-grandson, Gus; three great-granddaughters, Natalie, Brooklynn and Sierra; two brothers, Edward (Cathy) Gifford and John (Mary) Gifford; two sisters, Ruth Ann Wilson and Carolyn (Luke) Cunningham ; and several nieces and nephews. Norma was also preceded in death by a son, Charles R. Clark; a brother, James Gifford; and two sisters, Janet (Frank) Vincent and Anita (Jim) Jaskiewicz. The Funeral Service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 10, 2015, at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. Private interment will be at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 3:00 to 7:00 p.m. and on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
