Mrs. Norma L. Ostrander, of Bay City, passed away Monday, October 26, 2015 with her family by her side. Age 80 years. The daughter of the late Harvey and Izora (Adams) Telford was born August 5, 1935 in Yuma, AZ. She retired as a teller from Michigan National Bank. Mrs. Ostrander was an avid sports fan, enjoyed traveling, going to the casino, her trips to Las Vegas, but most of all enjoyed spending time with her family.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her husband, Harvey Ostrander; her children, John and Jackie Ostrander; Lori (William) Ostrander-Techlin; R. Scott (Cathy) Ostrander; five grandchildren, Joshua Ostrander; Justin Techlin; Phoebe (Eric) Kannisto; Zach (Tu-Anh) Ostrander and Devon Ostrander; ten great grandchildren; one brother; Lynn (Gladys) Telford; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by five brothers and three sisters.The family would like to extend a special Thank you to Bay Field Assisted Living for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during its time of need.
At the request of Mrs. Ostrander her body was donated to the University of Michigan Medical School. A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, October 31, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. The family will be present at the funeral home on Saturday to receive family and friends from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. In honor of Mrs. Ostrander's wishes the family requests that your attire is casual while paying your respects to her. In Lieu of Flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Special Olympics.
