Mrs. Mosier passed away Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the University of Michigan Medical Center in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Patricia, age 79 years, loving wife, mother, and grandmother was the daughter of the late Floyd and Leona (Luptowski) Jezewski. She was born April 29, 1935 in Bay City, Michigan. She graduated in 1953 Magna Cum Laude from the former T.L. Handy High School then went on to attend Saginaw Valley State University where she received her Bachelors and Masters Degrees. Mrs. Mosier was a member of Prince of Peace Parish-St. Anne Campus in Linwood, MI. She was the Lab Director at Samaritan Hospital and later McLaren Bay Region retiring in 2001 after 35 years of service. She was an accomplished musician, who enjoyed playing both the piano and accordion. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family including the many weekend and holiday trips to the family cottage at Lost Lake Woods Club. As a mentor, role model, and cheerleader she loved supporting her children and later her grandchildren attending their various activities. She was blessed with an abundance of compassion and was always available to help others in their time of need. In her younger years she had a passion for dance and was actively involved in 4-H. She was an avid sports fan and enjoyed watching the Detroit Tigers and Detroit Lions as well as various college athletics. Left behind to cherish her memory are her husband of 57 years; Richard Dwight Mosier married; August 3, 1957, three children and their spouses; Douglas Dwight and Tandi Janette (Shook) Mosier, Susan Marie Mosier-LaClair, M.D. and Mark Oliver LaClair, David Scott and Michelle Lynn (Baranowski) Mosier, her seven grandchildren; Madison Elizabeth Mosier, Taylor Alexa Ann Mosier, Lauren Patrice LaClair, Brett Oliver LaClair, Jack Davis LaClair, Brynn Patricia Mosier and Mason Timothy Mosier, one sister; Sandra Alexandra Jezewski. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Friday, October 17, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Prince of Peace Parish-St. Anne Campus (315 W. Center, Linwood, MI 48634). The celebrants will be Rev. Fr. T.J. Fleming, Deacon Michael Arnold and Deacon Robert Klem with a private Rite of Committal following with the family at Oakwood Memorial Mausoleum in Saginaw, MI. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday to receive family and friends from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. and on Thursday from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Mosier will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in memory of Patricia Ann Mosier to the American Cancer Society.
