Paul passed away Monday, November 12, 2018 at the Cleveland Clinic at the age of 56 years. Paul was born October 7, 1962 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Paul L. and Joann (Petosky) Brissette. Paul was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish, worked for Fabiano Brothers, Inc. for 15 years and was retired from the Bay County Road Commission. Paul was the co-owner of Brissettes 6-12. He was a member of the Crump Fox Club, along with the Tri County Snow Goers. When he was younger Paul tried out for the Detroit Red Wings, he was an avid hockey player and enjoyed watching NASCAR, snowmobiling, boating, camping with friends and family and especially enjoyed visiting with his children.
Paul is survived by his loving wife Lori Brissette; son, Zachary Paul (Kelli) Brissette; twin daughters, Lauren Elizabeth Greenfield, Lindsey Jenae Brissette and her significant other Andrew John Meyer; faithful companion, Bailey; siblings, Kimberly Brissette (Amy Rushman), Melissa (Mark) Dwyer, Heidi (Craig) Kokaly, Frederick (Anne) Brissette, and Heather (John) Jatczak; step-siblings, Linda (David) Auman, Alan Divo, Andrew (Angela) Divo, and Jacqueline (Russell) Bissonette; mother-in-law, Jeannine Boyce; brothers-in-law, Brian (Sharon) Boyce, Scott (Kay) Boyce; sisters-in-law, Rebecca (Michael) MacMillan, Lisa (Steve) Foy; many special nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Paul was also preceded in death by his step mother, Rosemary Brissette; and father-in-law, John Boyce.
Per Paul's wishes cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will take place at Our Lady of Peace Parish at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, November 17, 2018. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Steve Gavit. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, November 16, 2018 from 3:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday at the church from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for the Transplant House of Cleveland or the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
