Paul M. Dannesberger Jr.

Paul passed away Monday, June 15, 2020 at New Hope Bay Assisted Living at the age of 84 years. Paul was born in Dearborn, Michigan on April 30, 1936 to the late Paul and Mary (Asody) Dannesberger. He married the former Janet Ekkens on January 31, 1959 and were married for 57 years until she passed away on January 28, 2017. Paul served his country in the United States Army and was an active member of Westminster Presbyterian Church for over 50 years. He worked for the Saginaw Township Public Schools retiring in 1993 and then worked for the Bay County Sheriff Department in the marine division. He also worked with boaters and hunters safety classes. Paul was involved with the Crump Fox Club, the Elks Club and the Linwood Sportsman Club. In his spare time he enjoyed hunting, fishing and being in the woods.
Paul is survived by his children, David Dannesberger, Darcy (Bill) Goss and Diane (Curt) Coty; grandchildren, Kaylee and Kirsty Goss, Bryce and Zoya Coty; niece, Diane (Bob) Durie; nephews, Peter (Ann) Bambach and Ryan (Gwynn) Bambach. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his sister, Joanne Bambach. Paul's family would like to extend a special thank you to his close friend, Sherry Tucker for her kindness and care she gave. Also, a special thank you to New Hope Bay and The Care Team Hospice for their care.
