Sheck, Paul George "The Million Dollar Man" of Bay City passed away early Thursday morning September 22, 2011 at his home with his family at his side. Age 68 years. Paul was born October 7, 1942 in Flint and resided in Bay City most of his life. He was a member of Holy Trinity Catholic Church and graduated from Central Michigan University with a bachelors degree in business administration. Paul was the owner of Friends II with his wife Cheryl, he enjoyed spending his mornings with his friends at Traxler's Party Store and was an avid golfer. On June 13, 1964 he married his wife of forty seven years the former Cheryl L.Villaire in Visitation Catholic Church and she survives his passing along with three children and their spouses; Paul and Roxanne Sheck of San Diego, CA, Troy and Mary Sheck of Bay City and Chantelle and Larry Shute of Bay City, fifteen grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one brother and sister-in-law; Robert Michael and Darlene Sheck of Warner Robins, GA, one sister and brother-in-law; Penny Jean and Tony Militello of Bay City, his brothers-in-law and sister-in-law; Fr. Terry Villaire of Hollywood, FL and Robert "Bob" and Shirley Villaire of Auburn, one nephew, four nieces and many other special family members and friends. Paul was preceded in death by his parents; Bob and Mary (Jacoby) Sheck and Pete and Adyline Villaire. The family would like to extend a heart felt thank you to the staff at Heartland Hospice and to their family and friends for the kind and compassionate care that was extended to Paul during his illness. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Saturday, September 24, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 906 S. Wenona St. Bay City, MI 48706. Celebrants will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm, Rev. Fr. Terry G. Villaire and Rev. Fr Emmett Marceau with the Rite of Committal following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home and Cremation Services, Inc. Friday from 2:00 to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Sheck will be taken to the church on Saturday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of service. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for "The Wishes of the Family" for a memorial to be established at a later time.
