Mr. Paul J. Ziolkowski passed away on Saturday, August 08, 2015 at The Carriage House of Bay City, age 83. The son of the late Paul F. and Agnes D. (Weber) Ziolkowski, he was born on February 19, 1932 in Baltimore, MD. Paul served his country in the U.S. Naval Reserve (active duty) from 1952 to 1953 and then in the U.S. Navy from 1955 to 1957 and was currently a member of the American Legion Post #18 in Bay City. He graduated from Baltimore Polytechnic Institute in 1951. Paul worked as a draftsman, designer and field construction engineer for 50 years. He was employed by Intertec Design and Adecco, and was assigned to Dow Corning where he retired in 2001. Paul was a member of All Saints Parish - St. James Church. He always enjoyed serving his community through many organizations. Paul was a member of the Athletic Advisory Board for York City Schools in York, PA, he was Chairman of Mayors Committee for Safe Streets in York, PA in 1976 and 1977, he was a former President of Parents Without Partners, Midland, MI Chapter and former President of Full Gospel Businessmen, Midland, MI Chapter, and was a former member of Elks Lodge #1610 in Midland.
Mr. Ziolkowski is survived by his wife, Shirley J. Ziolkowski; his children, Paul J. (Sue) Ziolkowski, Jr. of Lansford, ND, Joan (Jim) Dellinger of York, PA, Anne (Jeff) Nixdorf of Mt. Wolf, PA, Mark (Dorean) Ziolkowski of York, PA and John Ziolkowski of Red Lion, PA; his grandchildren, Jason Ziolkowski of Minot, ND, Travis Ziolkowski currently serving in the U.S. Air Force, Christopher Dellinger of Lockhaven, PA, Corey Rupp of York, PA, Joshua Ziolkowski of York, PA and Angela Ziolkowski of York, PA; and his great-grandchildren, Nevin Ziolkowski of Lockhaven, PA, Christian Rupp of York, PA and Owen James of York, PA. Paul is also survived by his step-children, Sherry King (Gene Roberts) of Vermontville, MI, Tammy (Charles) Hodulik of Verona, WI, Howard (Kim) King III of Tampa, FL, Michael King of Cincinnati, OH and Jason Grzegorek of Cincinnati, OH; his step-grandchildren, D.J. (Kimmy) Edwards of Dania Beach, FL, Brittany Edwards of Bay City, MI Olivia Jane King of Tampa, FL and Keagan King of Tampa, FL; his sister, Marcella Malanowski of Baltimore, MD; his two brothers, Anthony Ziolkowski of Pocomoke, MD and Stanislaus (Terry) Ziolkowski of Murrysville, PA; and several nieces and nephews.
The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, August 11, 2015 at All Saints Parish - St. James Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Stephen J. Fillion with the Rite of Committal following in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Mr. Ziolkowski will lie instate at the church on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
