We did not want you to go but the heavy hand of time was just too much. Peggy Jean Harder passed away, December 12, 2023 with her family by her side at the age of 90. She was born June 23, 1933 in Pontiac, Michigan to the late Roy and Jean (Whaler) Yennior. She grew up in Bay City and later moved to Maple Valley. Peggy loved telling stories of times she spent walking to Mt. Vernon School and of times that she spent at Wenonah Beach Amusement Park. Peggy loved being around kids and ran a daycare from her home for 20 years, caring for dozens of children, many of whom she kept in contact with into their adulthood. She was also a second mom to most of the neighborhood kids and treated them as her own, growing up all her children’s friends called Peggy mom. She enjoyed completing puzzles, feeding birds, watching old movies and spending time with her family. She was feisty, funny and quick witted. Peggy was loved by all. She will be sorely missed and remembered lovingly.
Peggy is survived by her five children, Dawn (Harvey) Dusseau, Tim (Stacey) Harder, Linda (Ken) Miyake, Roxanne (Casey) Enders and Molly (John Mantei) Rundell; four grandchildren, Matthew Dusseau, Rachel (Brian) Andrews, Sean (April) Harder, Carrie (Samantha) Harder,; four great grandchildren, Aidan, Chloe, Gracie, Owen. In addition to her parents, Peggy is preceded in death by her son, Patrick Harder; daughter-in-law, Kay Harder and son-in-law, Bill Rundell.
