Rae Alice (Phillips) Goodrich, of Bay City, our loving mother, grandmother and sister passed away peacefully Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Heartland Hampton Nursing Home at the age of 76 years. The daughter of the late Harold and Margaret (Sowers) Phillips was born December 26, 1939 in Bay City and has resided here all of her life. She was a lifelong member of Westminster Presbyterian Church and the AMVETS Ladies Auxiliary. Rae graduated from T.L. Handy High School, she was formerly employed at Wendell's Dairy on Midland St., the Mill End Store, waitressed for many years at Saginaw Bay Yacht Club and the Michigan House and retired from BASIS as a secretary. She enjoyed reading, knitting, helping with the P.T.A. and was an avid Detroit Tigers Fan.
Left behind to cherish her memories are three children; Christopher Lee Wilinski and his partner Robert Victor Chomas of Bay City, Margaret Jo Richardson of Atlanta, MI and Timothy and Janet Wilinski of Gurnee, IL, one step son; Dennis Goodrich of Bay City, three grandchildren; Benjamin Toyzan and his fiancé Ally Mondille, Cody Ryczek and his companion Lindsay Schroeder and Bradley Wilinski, two great grandchildren; Maylee and Aleah, one sister and brother-in-law; Mary Jo and Ralph Findlay , one niece; Heather Findlay-Sokowlowski and three nephews; Scott Phillips, Jeff Phillips and Greg Findlay. She was preceded in death by her husband; Milton Goodrich and one brother; William Phillips.
A Memorial Service will take place Saturday, March 19, 2016 at 5:00 p.m. at Westminster Presbyterian Church (103 E. Midland Street Bay City, MI 48706). Officiating will be Rev. Matthew Schramm with private inurnment in Oak Ridge Cemetery in Bay City, MI. At the request of Mrs. Goodrich, cremation has taken place. The family will be present at the church on Saturday to receive visitors from 4:00 p.m. until the time of service. For those planning an expression of sympathy, the family asks that you consider a memorial to the organization of your choice.
