Randa L. Redfern

Our loving mother, daughter, grandmother and sister, passed away peacefully, Saturday December 27, 2014 at her home. Age 67 years. She was born December 16, 1947 in Detroit MI. Randy attended St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist). She had a great love for animals and enjoyed babysitting animals for family and friends; enjoyed playing bingo and reading, her greatest love was spending time with her children, grandchildren, family and her beloved dog Casey. Left behind to cherish her memory are her children; Carla (Kevin) Derocher, Walter (Deanna) Mulligan, Kristie (Brad) Koczenasz, Patrick (Shannon) Mulligan, her step children; David, Christopher, Tanya and Susan Redfern, her father; Matthew (Bernice) Butterworth, her grandchildren; Walter and Brenden Mulligan, Jordan Mulligan, Chase and Dalton Derocher, Aidan John and Peityn Koczenasz, many extended grandchildren and great grandchildren, her sister; Charlane (Terry) Hulme, many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother; Shirley (Sobieski) Butterworth, and her brother; John Butterworth. The Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated Tuesday, December 30, 2014 at 1:30 p.m. at St. Jude Thaddeus Parish (St. John the Evangelist), 614 Pine Rd. Essexville, MI. 48732. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Dale A. Orlik with the Rite of Committal following in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will be present at the funeral home on Monday to receive family and friends from 3:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Monday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Randy will be taken to the church on Tuesday to lie in state from 12:30 p.m. until the time of services.
