Randy L. Van Ochten

Van Ochten, Randy L. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Van Ochten passed away Wednesday, September 15, 2010. Age 55 years. Randy was born November 26, 1954 in Bay City, Michigan. He was employed with Consumers Power for 33 years, he enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and spending time with his family and his dog, Angel. Randy is survived by his wife of 35 years the former Cheryl A. Syring; one son, Ryan (April) Van Ochten; one daughter, Carrie Van Ochten; one grandson, Ryan Jr. and one granddaughter who will be born next week, Amber Van Ochten; his mother and father, Robert and Kathleen (Badour) Van Ochten; two brothers, Gary (Jan) and Robert Jr. Van Ochten; mother and father-in-law, Harvey and Jan Syring; six brothers-in-law, Sy (Gladys), Harvey A. (Kelly), Bryan (Annette), Scott (Julie), John (Gina) and Kevin Syring; one very special aunt, Lorine Syring and many nieces and nephews. At the request of Mr. Van Ochten cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.. Officiating will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Meissner. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. In lieu of flowers memorial cards for the wishes of the family will be available at the funeral home.
