KLEI, Raymond H. of Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Klei passed away Tuesday, March 16, 2010 at The Carriage House of Bay City, age 90 years. Raymond was born January 18, 1920 in Detroit, Michigan. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, retired from Valley Welding Co. and served with the United States Army during WWII. He is survived by his wife of sixty eight years, Georgia V. Klei; two daughters and one son-in-law: Karren (Paul) Foster-Reagh and Penny Holland both of Bay City; seven grandchildren: Lisa (Chris) Severs, Peter (Rosemarie) Klei, Don (Jean) Foster, Jeffrey Klei, Stephanie (Winston) Benedict, Kevin (Sarah) Foster, Jennifer (Zachary) Godek; twelve great grandchildren: Jeff and Matthew Foster, Dale and Raymond Klei, Brendan and Brian Klei, Zachary and Amanda Severs, Thomas and Emily Benedict and Olivia and Ella Foster; his extended family, June and Gary Feeney and their daughter; Joy Feeney. He was predeceased by one son, Raymond Peter Klei in 1984 and his parents, Henry and Anna ( Fritz) Klei. The Klei family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff at The Carriage House of Bay City for the kind and compassionate care they provided for Mr. Klei during the time he spent with them. Funeral services will take place Thursday, March 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. John W. Wernecke with interment following in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for Zion Lutheran Church will be available at the funeral home.
