Perry Raymond I. Bay City, Michigan Mr. Perry passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at Bay Regional Medical Center. Age 86years. He was born November 27, 1923 in Bay City, Michigan to the late Joseph and Mary (Szymanski) Gruszczynski. Ray served with the United States Army during World War II and retired in 1984 from Bay City Chevrolet and was a member of the UAW Local 362. He was an avid Detroit Tiger fan, enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards and especially eating meals prepared by his wife and spending time with his family. On February 2, 1952 he married the former Betty J. Westover in Bay City and she survives his passing along with his children; Diane (Robert) Hoernlein of Saginaw, David (Gretchen) Perry of Essexville, Darryl (Marce) Perry of Freeland and Nancy (Robert) Beyett of Essexville, ten grandchildren, three great grandchildren, one sister; Germaine (William) Dean, sisters-in-law; Evelyn Perry, Margaret (Richard) Morgan, Delores Stein and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by three brothers; Leonard, Ernest and Alfred. The Perry Family would like to extend a special thank you to the staff of Bay Regional Medical Centers CCU, ICU and 4 West for the kind and compassionate care they gave to their loved one over the last several days. At the request of Mr. Perry cremation has taken place and there will be a private family gathering. Memorial cards for Brian's House will be available at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc.
