Mrs. Hartley passed away Sunday, April 25, 2010 at St. Mary's Medical Center. Age 84 years. The daughter Benjamin and Minnie (Pappin) LaVigne was born June 3, 1925 in Alcona Township, Michigan. Mrs. Hartley was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the St. Martha Circle. She retired from the Bay City Public Schools as a cook and was a member of M.A.R.S.P. She is survived by her children; Suzanne (Robert) Taylor of Essexville, James (Lorraine) Hartley of Bay City, Nancy (Dennis) LaLonde of Bay City, Gary (Colleen) Hartley of Hermosa Beach, CA. and Barbara Conner of Bay City, eleven grandchildren; Misty (Kenny) Huggard, April (Troy Cunningham) Yax, Nicole (Jeremy) Buschlen, Joshua (Allison) Hartley, Katie (Andrew Emeott) Gasta, Jennifer Lesperance, Charlie (Rachel Jankoska) Lesperance, Andrew, Grace and Sylvia Hartley and Ryan Gelisse, her great grandchildren; Brandon Huggard, Steven and Austin Yax, Jacob and Sarah Buschlen, Chase Matthew, Zanden, Zandria , Zavien and Zaelia Facundo, three sisters, Ann Schmidt, Ethel Rasche and Julie LaVigne, one brother-in-law; William Langenburg. In addition to her parents she was also preceded in death by her husband; Calvin E. Hartley and one sister; Doris Langenburg. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to Heartland Hospice and her caregiver Roberta Haertel for the kind and compassionate care our loved one received during her illness. At the request of Mrs. Hartley cremation has taken place. A Memorial Mass will take place Wednesday, April 28, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. St. Mary's Catholic Church. Officiating will Rev. Fr. Craig L. Albrecht with private inurnment in Oak Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Memorial Envelopes for Heartland Hospice and St. Mary's Building Fund will be available at the church.
