Renee M. Hewitt

Renee M. Hewitt, of Bay City, passed away after a lengthy illness on Monday evening, August 3, 2015 at Select Specialty Hospital in Saginaw, age 53. The daughter of the late Earl and June (Coupie) Hewitt, she was born on December 6, 1961 in Bay City. Renee retired from the housekeeping department at Bay Regional Medical Center. She was a member of All Saints Parish - St. James Church. Renee enjoyed arts and crafts, especially knitting and sewing and she loved her pets.
Renee is survived by her two children, Edward (Margie) Nichols of Wyoming and Tina Nichols of Bay City; her grandson, Cody Nichols; three brothers, Joseph (Diane) Hewitt of Wisconsin, Scott (Tony) Hewitt of Florida and Earl (Linda) Hewitt, III of Bay City; and several nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Renee was also preceded in death by a brother, Michael Hewitt.
The Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, August 8, 2015 at All Saints Parish - St. James Church. The Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Stephen J. Fillion. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. with the Parish Vigil Service beginning at 7:00 p.m. Renee will lie instate at the church on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service.
