Richard Paul Faustin Kawkawlin, Michigan Mr. Faustin lost his courageous 7 ½ month battle with cancer on Saturday evening April 7, 2012 at Covenant HealthCare in Saginaw, age 70. The son of the late Stanley Joseph & Anna Lucy (Zelek) Faustin, Sr., he was born January 30, 1942 in Bay City. Richard served with the U.S. Army. In 2000, he retired as a millwright after 43 years of service from G.M. Grey Iron Foundry and he was a member of U.A.W. Local 668. Richard enjoyed spending time in his pole barn tinkering, camping, hunting, fishing, playing cards, and especially loved to be with his grandchildren. On February 19, 1966 Richard married the former Tami Tonkin in St. Stanislaus Kostka Catholic Church and she survives him along with their son and daughter-in-law, Eric & Vicki Faustin of Kawkawlin, and two daughters and one son-in-law, Katria & Pat Humphreys of Kawkawlin and Tanya Densmore of Bay City; four grandsons, Travis Faustin, Keegan Densmore, Cameron Humphreys and Ethan Densmore; his brothers and sisters, Robert (Joan) Faustin, Jan Sullivan, Tom (Carol) Faustin, Don (Rose Lee) Faustin, Betty Smith, Jim Faustin, Jerry Faustin, Roger (Jan) Faustin, Eddie Faustin, Stanley (Ann) Faustin, Jr. and Mary (Bruce) McCabe; a brother-in-law, Dick (Linda) Tonkin; and many nieces & nephews. Besides his parents, Richard was also preceded in death by a sister, Eileen Bumgarner; and his father and mother-in-law, Bill & Elizabethe Tonkin and and one brother-in-law; Richard Sullivan. The funeral service will take place at 11:00am on Wednesday April 11, 2012 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Dwight W. Kingsbury with Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council and cremation to follow. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 2:00 to 4:30 & 6:00 to 8:30pm and on Wednesday from 10:00am until time of service.
