Richard passed away Monday, July 15, 2019 at Covenant HealthCare - Cooper at the age of 91 years. He was born in Bay City on May 17, 1928 to the late Carl and Agnes (Dehn) Lambert. Richard proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II and was honorably discharged. On November 26, 1949 he married the former Gloria Talbot in Bay City and together spent 66 years together until she passed away on August 23, 2016. Richard worked and retired from Michigan Bell/ AT&T after over 35 years. He was a member of AA and a sponsor and enjoyed golfing, boating and fishing.
Richard is survived by his children, Kerry (Susan) Lambert, Debra Haguewood, Kurt (Susan) Lambert and Lee (Linda) Lambert; grandchildren, Joe (Jill), Mike (Sylwia), Lauren (Matt) Parnofiello, Raechel Haguewood, Sarah (Ron) Miller, Nick (Chelsea), Andrew (Kryssa), Steven, Whitney (Ian) Newberry and Luke; seven great grandchildren; brother, Robert Lambert; sister-in-law, Ginny Lambert and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents and wife, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Roger and Roy Lambert.
Funeral and committal service will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, July 20, 2019 at Trinity Ev. Lutheran Church. Officiating will be Rev. Joel Pankow with military honors under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council. At the request of Richard cremation will take place following the service with private inurnment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Mr. Lambert will be taken to the church to lie in state on Saturday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the service.
