Richard S. Maciejewski

Mr. Maciejewski passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at his residence with his family by his side. Age 88 years. The son of the late Sigmund and Barbara (Damrau) Maciejewski was born July 7, 1928 in Bay City, Michigan. He was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish-St. Stanislaus Kostka Church and was a member of St. Stan's Athletic Club. He retired from GM Powertrain Bay City Plant. Mr. Maciejewski was very involved with his grandchildren and enjoyed attending their events and enjoyed golfing.
Left behind to cherish his memories are his children and their spouses, David and Beverly Maciejewski, Kay and Rick Brzezinski, Elizabeth Larsen, Monica and Mark Koczenasz; his grandchildren, Sara (Dave) Owen, Jill (Matt) Nelson, Erin (Christopher) Tully, Nick (Janelle) Brzezinski, Matt (Amber) Brzezinski, Jason (Kellie) Brzezinski, Joshua (Mindy)Williams, Jessica (Matt) Perrine, Jodi Williams, Alecia (Brent) Nelson and Adam Koczenasz; seventeen great grandchildren, four step great grandchildren; his sister, Marg Luczak;  his brother and sisters-in-law, John and Arlene Maciejewski and Gerrie Rezler.  In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Angeline V. Maciejewski whom he married July 2, 1949; his son-in law, Denny Larsen; brothers and sisters-in-law, Don Luczak, Stub and Florence Rezler, Ben and Edwin Rezler, Joe and Evelyn Gramacki.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Dr. S. Dandamudi and the caring staff at New Hope Bay.
Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Stanislaus Kostka Church 1503 22nd St. Bay City, MI 48708. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Richard M. Filary with private interment in St. Stanislaus Kostka Cemetery.  Mr. Maciejewski will lie in state at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to McLaren Hospice or Wishes of the Family.
