Our loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother passed away Tuesday evening June 28, 2016 at McLaren Bay Region with his family at his side. Age 83 years. The son of the late Daniel and Ellanora (Walter) O'Riordan was born August 22, 1932 in Saginaw, Michigan and has resided in Bay City most of his life. He retired as a pattern maker from General Motors Co, was a member of the Moose Lodge # 169, the American Legion Post 18 and proudly served his country in the United States Army. Mike loved reading, crossword puzzles, photography, baking and most of all, he enjoyed the time he spent with his family. Left behind to cherish his memories are his wife, the former Mary Lu Clay, three daughters and sons-in-law; Deb and Rob Keit of Bay City, Diane and Bob Hurley of Bay City and Kelly and Tom Cleary of Troy, eight grandchildren; Shannon (Greg) Roderick, Kate (Nick) Bruining, Sarah Keit and her fiancé Bryan Furr, Megan (Jeremy) Coonan, Adam (Catherine) Hurley, Patrick (Cheryl) Hurley, Brianne Cleary and Alex Cleary, twelve great grandchildren, one brother; Daniel O'Riordan and several nieces and nephews. Besides his parents, Daniel and Ellanora, he was preceded in death by two brothers; Walter and Ralph O'Riordan. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Friday, July 1, 2016 to receive visitors from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. At the request of Mike, a private funeral for his family will take place. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson under the auspices of the United States Army and the Bay County Veterans Council. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to The Bay County Veterans Council and Samaritan Rescue Mission.
