Richard P. Rogers

Rogers, Richard P. Bad Axe, Michigan Richard (Dick) passed away Sunday, October 7, 2012 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 74 years. The son of the late Kirk and Luella (Weitzel) Rogers was born January 14, 1938 in Bad Axe, Michigan. Richard enjoyed spending time with his family and friends and was an avid Detroit Tigers fan. Richard is survived by his long time girlfriend, Donna Kopah of Bad Axe; three children, Sue (Steve) Smith of Kalamazoo, Vicki (Terry) Soper of Bad Axe and Todd (Susan) Rogers of Ottumwa, IA; nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, four sisters, five brothers and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents Richard was also preceded in death by one daughter, Kimberly Ice and three brothers. At the request of Richard cremation has taken place. A celebration of Richards life will take place on Saturday, October 27, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. at the Farm Bureau Hall in Bad Axe, Michigan. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider memorials to the wishes of the family.
