Richard passed away Saturday, June 6, 2020 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 85 years. He was born in Bay City on January 13, 1935 to the late William and Seraphine (Wisniewski) Siminski. Richard was a member of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Hyacinth Church. On May 5, 1956 he married the former Joann Harhala in Bay City and were married for 64 years. Richard worked for General Motors for 30 years and retired in 1992. In his spare time he enjoyed working and cleaning his 1972 Plymouth Grand Sedan known to many as the "Bomber". Richard was very particular about his yard and grass and enjoyed weekly dinners at the Oasis, a cold beer or whiskey and water.
Richard is survived by his wife, Joann; children, Dennis Siminski, Linda (Scott) Anderson, Janet Witzke and Kimberly Siminski; grandchildren, Kevin Lawler, Robert Witzke, Joseph (Kat) Witzke, Justin (Kristi) Siminski, Erik (Kristina) Hadd, Patrick (Jessica) Witzke, Tiffany Siminski, Kayla (Freddy) Siminski-Rodriguez and Dennis (Jessica) Siminski; nine great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. Richard was preceded in death by his grandson, Derrik Siminski; son-in-law, Bob Witzke; two brothers and one sister.
Funeral Liturgy will take place at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2020 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish - St. Hyacinth Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Richard M. Filary with cremation to take place following the Mass. Friends may visit at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday from 1:00 to 7:00 p.m. Visitation times are subject to the Covid-19 guidelines of 10 people or less in the chapel at one time. Mr. Siminski will be taken to the church to lie in state of Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass.
