Rita E. Beggs

Beggs, Rita E. Bay City, Michigan Rita passed away after a brief illness on December 24, 2011 at Brian's House. Age 83 years. The daughter of the late Frank and Josephine Krzesicki, Rita was born November 4, 1928 in Jackson, Michigan. She was a member of St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church and its Altar Society. Rita was an active member of A.R.C. of Bay County and a former board member. Rita received her Nursing RN in the late 1940s, and spent her life nurturing and compassionately caring for others . She is survived by her children and their spouses; Tom and Angela Beggs of Fairfax, CA, Paul Beggs of Bay City, Jim Beggs and his special friend Katrina of Seabrook, TX, Mary and Len Czupski of Midland, MI, and her very special angel Kathy Beggs of Midland, MI. She is also survived by fourteen grandchildren; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents she was also predeceased in death by her very loving husband and best friend; Ronald Eugene Beggs, her brothers and sisters: Carl, John, Frank and Leo, Sr. Mary Ester, Sr. Mary Agnela, Sr. Mary Roseanne, Theresa and Teofila. Rita was also an avid and lifetime fan of the Detroit Tigers. The Funeral Liturgy will take place Thursday, December 29, 2011 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert J. Meissner with a private Rite of Committal following in Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Rita will be taken to the church on Thursday to lie in state from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services.
