Rita Mae Rugenstein

Rita is beside her husband Alan of over 57 years. Rita is survived by Donna (David) Thompson, Trudy Archey, Karinn Rugenstein, Diana Rugenstein and Brandon Runyon and one sister Jane Rugenstein. Rita left us as a wife, mother, grandmother, sister and a daughter. Rita loved her family and being around her children, her grandchildren, her great grandchildren and especially her time Rita had with her husband Alan.
Rita enjoyed cooking, baking, working around the house, fishing with her husband, Alan and on occasions getting away to play at the nearby casino. When Rita was younger, she started a local neighborhood bakery, once Rita closed her Bakery, her customers would reach out to her, asking for her pies for a long time after she closed her bakery. Rita had a caring heart of gold and love that she shared with everyone around her.
It only takes a second to say “I Love You”. But a lifetime to show your love. To that one true person you picked. That was Rita’s and Alan’s LOVE.
A Celebration of Life will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Robert Rugenstein with private interment at Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, September 22, 2023 at Gephart Funeral Home from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. and on Saturday, September 23, 2023 at Gephart Funeral Home from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
