Taylor, Robert L. "Bob" Essexville, Michigan Mr. Taylor passed away on Friday, August 14, 2015 in Cheboygan, Michigan while scuba diving with one of his best friends. Age 71 years. The son of the late Henry E. and Mary R. (Shall) Taylor was born August 17, 1943 in Bay Port, Michigan. Mr. Taylor was retired from General Motors after 40 years of service, served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam Conflict and was a Marine Deputy for the Bay County Sherriff's Office. He loved scuba diving and doing projects around the house with his grand dog, Sasha. Mr. Taylor is survived by his wife, Suzanne whom he married in December of 1988; four children, Robert (Sara) Taylor, Ranae Rousse, Misty (Randy Young) Huggard and April (Troy Cunningham) Yax; seven grandchildren, Zachary (Danni), Courtney (Walter), Steven (Claire), Alexander, Austin (Casey), Rachael and Brandon; one great grandson, Jace Lawrence; special friends, Jim (Gail) Dougherty; one sister, Edith French and many nieces, nephews and other close family members. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by one brother, Adolph "Sonny" Taylor. Funeral and Committal services will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, August 19, 2015 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Kellie French followed by Military Honors conducted by the Bay County Veterans Council. Friends may call the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Tuesday, August 18, 2015 from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of services. Memorial cards for the Bay County Veterans Council will be available at the funeral home.
