Robert F. Denay

Mr. Robert Floyd Denay, of Bay City, went home peacefully surrounded by his family at his residence on the morning of Tuesday, February 18, 2014 at the age of 86. The son of the late Floyd & Frances (Lareau) Denay, he was born January 14, 1928 in Flint and was raised in Ann Arbor until moving to Bay City. Bob served his country with the U.S. Army. Bob is survived by his wife of 57 years, Betty; and his children, Brian, Cathy (Loren), Bob, Sue (Steve), Michelle (Steve), Karin (Tom), Janet and Steve (Sarah). Bob will be loved and missed by his grandchildren, Patrick, Candace, Jenn, Matthew, Mitchell, Sean, Ashley, Michael, Maggie, Libby, Sam, Molly, Corey, Alex, Jessie, Jen, Matt and eleven great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his brother, Richard (Maryanne) Denay. The family would like to extend a special thanks to Lisa and the entire McLaren hospice team. Cremation and a private family service have taken place. Bob's family wishes to celebrate his love of life, family and old cars with a celebration at a date to be announced.
