Bob passed away Tuesday, September 7, 2021 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 67 years. He was born in Bay City on December 21, 1953 to the late Donald and Margaret (Malott) Dubay. Bob attended school until the 11th grade at West Catholic High and graduated from T.L. Handy in 1972. He worked for many years in the electric and waste water departments for the City of Bay City. He then worked as a painter for many years. Bob loved spending time with his family and friends, especially his nieces and nephews and loved his mother dearly.
Bob is survived by his sisters and brother, Bonnie (John) Vanderberg, Kathy Kraenzlein, Patty Owczarzak, Meg (Dane) Perkins, Tammy (Marty) Larsen, Ann (Paul) Batschke, Nan (Dan) Noonan and Don Dubay; twelve nieces and nephews; fifteen great nieces and nephews; six great-great nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his grandparents, Bernard and Margaret Dubay and Leonard and Margaret Malott; brothers-in-law, Jerry Kraenzlein and Dennis Owczarzak.
At the request of Bob, cremation has taken place and a visitation will take place on Wednesday, September 15, 2021 at the Gephart Funeral Home from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. Contributions may be made to the St. Jude's Children's Hospital. For online condolences visit
