Robert Henry Frederick

Frederick, Robert Henry Bay City, Michigan Mr. Frederick passed away Sunday, October 9, 2011 with his family at his side. Age 91 years. The son of the late Henry and Louise (Witzke) Frederick was born March 8, 1920 in Bay City, MI. He was retired from Consumers Energy as a fuel handling supervisor. Mr. Frederick was a member of the American Legion in Florida, enjoyed living life to the fullest, playing golf, bocce ball, horseshoes, bowling and he was a golden gloves state champion. He served in the United States Merchant Marines. He is survived by his children; Randall (Sandra) Frederick, Linda Weir, Bobbie (Pat) Zander, Marsha (David) Britton, Jackie (Doyle) Baker and Luanne (Pete) Brennan, his companion of twenty three years; Celia Bach, one sister; Viola Randall, sixteen grandchildren, twenty four great grandchildren, one great great grandchild. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife; Edna Mae (Groulx) Frederick, one brother; Norman Frederick and one sister; Harriet Reed. At the request of Mr. Frederick cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place Friday, October 14, 2011 at 2:00 p.m. at Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joe Atchinson. Friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 o'clock noon until the time of services. In lieu of flowers Memorial cards for St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital will be available at the funeral home.
