Robert passed away Tuesday, May 23, 2017 at Hampton Manor Assisted Living. Age 91 years. The son of the late Albert and Mary L. (Reel) Koch was born September 21, 1925 in Youngstown, Ohio. He retired from Bay Valley where he worked in condo maintenance. In his free time he liked model railroading. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII. He is survived by his four children, Glenn (Jolene) Koch of Omaha Nebraska, Kristy Boardman of Harlan, Iowa, Kari (Chris) Everitt of Saginaw and Dean Koch of Bay City; ten grandchildren, Evelyn, Mitchell and Davis Koch, Brittnee and Blake Boardman, Chase, Garrett and Hannah Everitt and Payten and Raegan Koch. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Esther C. Koch whom he enjoyed 57 years of marriage with; one son in law, Steve Boardman. The family would like to extend a special Thank you to the staff at Mid-Michigan Hospice and Hampton Manor, special friends Toni, Tim, Bob and Denise. Funeral and Committal services will take place on Saturday, May 27, 2017 at 7:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Jeff Akenberger with private entombment in Elm Lawn Mausoleum. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Saturday from 3:00 p.m. until the time of services.
