Lamkin, Robert Arthur of Bay City, Michigan. Age 78 years, Bob passed into the care of our Lord Wednesday, June 15, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center. He was born to the late Arthur and Elizabeth (Crankshaw) Lamkin on February 27, 1933 in Bay City, Michigan. He graduated from Central High School in 1950 and attended BC Junior College and Central Michigan University. He retired from Dow Chemical, Midland, in 1995. Bob served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was an avid bowler, golfer, and singer. He was a member of the Harbor Sounds and the Midland Men of Music. Bob was a Fourth Degree Knight of Columbus, Council No. 3590 and enjoyed serving at Holy Trinity Church, it's Ushers Club and other charitable organizations. Bob will be missed by his wife of 58 years, Juanita, and his children: son Robert and his wife Lisa (Waddell) and their daughter Elyssa; son Christopher and his wife Brenda (Gregg) and their daughter Katie and son Joshua; daughter Jill and her late-husband David Booth with their children, Morgan, David, and Danielle; son Andrew and his wife Jacqueline (Zorlen) and their daughter Kirsten and son Andrew. Bob will be remembered fondly by his three brothers: James and his wife Sandra, Arthur and wife Irene, and Charles. He will also be missed by his sister Karen and he joins his sister Joan in paradise. A Memorial Mass and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Monday, June 20, 2011 at 11:00 a.m. at Holy Trinity Catholic Church 1008 S. Wenona St. Bay City, MI 48706. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Robert S. Gohm. Following the Mass members of the Bay County Veterans Council will conduct Military Honors at the Church. At the request of Mr. Lamkin cremation has taken place and there will be no visitation at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. and Cremations Services, Inc. Bob's family will receive those wishing to pay their respects on Monday, June 20th from 9:00 a.m. and until the time of the Mass. Members of the Knights of Columbus and the Honor Guard will conduct the Bible/Challis Presentation at 10:45 a.m. at the Church. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that you consider donating in Bob's memory to Bay City Southwest Little League or the Holy Trinity St. Vincent de Paul Food Pantry.
