Witkovsky Robert C. (Bob Witt) Bay City, Michigan Mr. Witkovsky passed away on Sunday June 18, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 93 years. Robert was born on December 21, 1923 in Caro, Michigan the son of the late William and Ethel (Budd) Witkovsky. Bob graduated from Caro High School and Northeastern School of Commerce. After graduation Bob proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II. He was awarded five bronze battle stars to wear on his European Theater Ribbon after taking part in battles in Normandy, Northern France, Rhineland, Ardennes (Battle of the Bulge) and Central Europe. During World War II he served in Scotland, England, Wales, France, Belgium, Luxemburg, Holland, Germany, Austria, Itlay and Czechoslovakia. Bob married Pauline E. Keever on August 20, 1946 in Kannapolis, NC. Polly passed away on August 21, 2004. Bob was remarried on October 21, 2006 to Helen E. Priem (Landosky). Helen passed away on March 25, 2015. Bob worked for American Hoist and Derrick Co. for thirty six years as a senior accountant and office manager. In addition to his work he also served eighteen years on the Midland Street Citizen Council with two years as president. Mr Witkovsky is survived by his one son, Michael J. and his wife Sheryl of Saginaw; his twin sister Roberta Rappel of Bay City; grandsons Sean of Indiana and Timothy of Saginaw; granddaughters Jessica Buchanan of Alabama and Randi Witkovsky of Saginaw; one great grandson Zachery and one great granddaughter Emma both of Saginaw; five stepdaughters, Karen (Gary) Burgess of Charlotte, NC, Judy (Gary) MacDougall of Essexville, Linda (Dave) Slosser of Green Bay, WI, Lois (Bill) Matuszewski and Cheryl (Dan) Slosser of Bay City; seven step grandchildren and three step great-grandchildren. Bob was preceded in death by his sisters Oneita Ringle and Donna McDaniel; brothers, Elden, Earl, Clifton, Clayton and Loren. Funeral service will take place on Friday June 23, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Grace United Methodist Church-West Campus, 4267 2 Mile Road, Bay City. Rev. Eric Kieb will officiate with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Bob's family will receive friends at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Thursday June 22, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Bob will be taken to the church to lie in state on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at 11:00 a.m. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider a memorial contribution to Grace United Methodist Church or a charity of the donors choice. www.gephartfuneralhome.com
