Roberta J. Behmlander

Roberta Joan (Martin) our loving wife, mother, sister and aunt passed away on Sunday, December 2, 2018 at Sheffield Bay at the age of 83 years. Roberta was born on February 1, 1935 in Bay City to the late Joseph and Mable (LaWhite) Martin and was the youngest of twelve children. She lived in Bay City all of her life. On January 26, 1963 she married Richard H. Behmlander. Roberta taught 1st grade CDC for several years at Holy Trinity Church. She was also the leader of the Monday Night Rosary for 15 years.
Roberta is survived by her loving husband, Richard; lovely daughter, Joanne; brother, Orwin; sister, Lucille and several beautiful nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her son, Richard "Ricky" who passed away on October 15, 1994 after receiving his doctorate at the University of Minnesota. Also preceded by 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
Funeral Liturgy will take place on Thursday, December 6, 2018 at Corpus Christi Parish - Holy Trinity Church at 10:00 a.m. The Celebrant will be Rev. Father Robert J. Kelm with private burial in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Wednesday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place on Wednesday evening at 7:00 p.m. Mrs. Behmlander will be taken to the church on Thursday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the Mass. Those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to make a memorial contribution to Corpus Christi Parish.
