Roberta M. Bickel

Bickel, Roberta M., of Bay City, passed away early Friday morning February 18, 2011 at Bay Regional Medical Center, age 75. The daughter of the late Frank & Bertha (Dion) Rioux, she was born September 6, 1935 in Bay City. Roberta was retired from Feather's Bakery as a cake decorator. She was a member of Messiah Lutheran Church and the Red Hat Society. Roberta enjoyed her painting class at the Riverside Senior Center and also crocheting and cake decorating. Roberta is survived by four children, Randall (Catherine) Bickel of Lima, Ohio, Donald Bickel, Jr. of Cleveland Heights, Ohio, Shelly (Randy) MacInnes of Clarkston and Marcia Krzyminski of Bay City; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Rita Primeau and Ruth McKay. Besides her parents, Roberta was also preceded in death by two sisters and two brothers. The funeral service will take place at 1:00pm on Monday February 21, 2011 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Rev. Andreas H. Teich. Private inurnment will be in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home on Sunday from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 pm and on Monday from 11:00am until time of service. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
