Rolf A. Richardson

Rolf Alan Richardson, 57, beloved father, son, brother, uncle and friend, passed away suddenly at his home in Macomb, Twp., MI on Friday, December 15, 2017. He was born in Bay City, MI on July 11, 1960 to Dexter W. and Carol (Meisel) Richardson. Rolf was a graduate of John Glenn High School and was also a graduate from an area welding school. He was the owner/operator of Angel Alarm Co. Rolf was a lover of golf, birding and the outdoors. He was passionate about playing guitar, writing music, reading, problem solving and history. He treasured the memories of his trip to Turkey, where he studied and enjoyed many ancient sites. Most recently his interests also included woodworking, drawing and painting.

Rolf is survived by his daughter, Faith (Chris) Tansel (he often referred to her as his greatest accomplishment); step children, Melissa (Jerry) Harding and Robert (Danielle) Hubler; mother, Carol Richardson; brothers, Dexter M. and Dirk (Val) Richardson; sister, Marcy (Ron, Jr.) Hegenauer and many nieces and nephews. Rolf was preceded in death by his father, Dexter W. and brother, Eric Richardson.

A memorial service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, January 5, 2018 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Rev. Joseph Atchinson. The family will be present at the funeral home on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
