Ronald "Bill" William Remington Jr.

Bill passed Tuesday afternoon June 23, 2015 at Bay Medical Care Facility . Age 77 years. The son of the late Peggy Ann (Burdick) and Dr. Ronald William Remington Sr. was born June 13, 1938 in Chicago, IL and has resided in Bay City most of his life. He graduated from Bay City Central High School, proudly served his country in the United States Marines and retired from the Bay City Police department in July of 1997. When he was not protecting our community he spent many days on the golf course, was an avid reader, enjoyed bike rides, had a passion for history and was always thinking of others before himself. . Bill enjoyed the winters he spent in Florida with his wife Mimi and most of all he cherished the time that he spent with his children and grandchildren. On June 4, 1966 he married his wife of 49 years the former Mignon "Mimi" Bartling and she is left behind to cherish his memories along with two sons and two daughters-in-law; John and Jackie Remington of Saginaw and Stephen "Harvey" and Melody Remington of Bay City and three very special grandchildren; Nichole, Tyler and Stella that he loved to the moon and back. The family would like extend a heartfelt thankyou to Dr. Hafford, Dr. Islam, Dr. Thoutreddy and their staff, the staff at Bay Medical Care Facility, especially two east for the kind and compassionate care they extend to Bill and his family during these difficult days. The family will gather at the Gephart Funeral Home and Cremations Services to visit and share memories with family and friends on Sunday, June 28, 2015 from 1:00 to 5:00 p.m. At the request of Mr. Remington cremation has taken place and a private graveside service and military honors will be conducted by members of the United States Marines and the Bay County Veterans Council at Elm Lawn Park Cemetery.
