Ronald R. Doan

Mr. Doan passed away Saturday, March 18, 2017 at McLaren Bay Region. Age 79 years. The son of the late Boyce and Marguerite (Mulholland) Doan was born November 8, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan. Mr. Doan retired from Valley Chrome Platers after 42 years of service. He loved animals, especially his cats and dogs and he also rescued many cats. Mr. Doan also enjoyed fishing, bowling, and metal detecting. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. He survived by four sons, Robert (Anette) Doan of Bay City, Steven (Susan) Doan of Midland, Tommy Doan of Seattle, David (Soraida, wife of 27 years) Doan of New Mexico; six grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Sharon (Don) Kukla; one brother, David (Barb) Doan. In addition to his wife he was also preceded in death by his wife, Helga K. Doan. At the request of Mrs. Doan cremation has taken place. A memorial service is being planned at a later date.
