Ronald M. Gregory

Gregory, Ronald M. Barbeau, Michigan Formerly of Saginaw Ronald Mark Gregory, 79, died Monday, June 13, 2016 at St. Mary's Hospital in Saginaw, MI following a brief illness. Ron was born August 24 1936, to Clara and John Gregory. He graduated in 1954 from Sacred Heart High School. Upon retirement from Saginaw Steering Gear as a Tool & Die Maker he pursued his passion for nature and moved to his beloved wooded cabin in the Upper Peninsula. There in Barbeau, he was an active member of the UAW, the Moose Lodge and also the St. Mary's River Sportsman Club. He enjoyed everything possible in the great outdoors: hunting, fishing, camping, boating, and nature preservation. Ron recently told his grandchildren that it was in the woods where he felt the happiest and closest to God. While he was a man of few words, Ron was deeply proud of his family. He is survived by his children, Linda (Mark) Arnold, Steven (Catherine) Gregory, David (Kara) Gregory, and Ronald (Jodi) Gregory, and former spouse Shirley (Thomas) Gregory; Grandchildren, Tarryn, Siobhan, Cauleen, Veronica, Madelynne, Jonathan, Hannah, Joseph, Benjamin, Jacqueline, Angelina, David, Grace, and Daniel; one great grandchild, Sawyer; and many great friends. At the request of Mr. Gregory cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 6:30 p.m. on Friday, June 17, 2016 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Friday from 2:00 p.m. and until the time of services. Given Ron's admiration for nature, the family requests any donations be directed to St. Mary's River Sportsman Club, 15966 S. Scenic Drive, Barbeau, MI 49710.
