Mr. Pischel passed away on Sunday, July 21, 2019 at his residence, at the age of 79 years. The son of the late Reinhold and Hedwig (Schneiber) Pischel was born in Bay City on September 3, 1939. Mr. Pischel served his country in the United States Air Force and was honorably discharged. He married the former Deanna Kline and she preceded him in death on March 6, 2019. Ron owned and operated Norm's Service Center for 35 years and was there for over 50 years. In his spare time he enjoyed golfing, bowling, gardening and small engine repair. But most of all he enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren.
Ron is survived by his three children, John (Sarah) Schwannecke, Suzanna Buss and David (Angela) Pischel; eight grandchildren, Travis (Sarah), Kalub, Tiffany (Jeff), Gabriel, Matias, Makayla, Lydia and Hannah; sister, Judy Sheehan and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his wife of 54 years Deanna; great granddaughter, Devon; two brothers; one sister; two brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law;
At the request of Mr. Pischel cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 24, 2019 at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Pastor Andrew Menz with military honors under the auspices of the Bay County Veterans Council. Private inurnment will take place in Roselawn Memorial Gardens. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home on Wednesday from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service.
