Revette, Ronald Paul "Ronnie" Bay City, Michigan Mr. Revette passed away following a brief illness Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at McLaren Bay Region at the age of 87 years. The son of the late Wilbur and Bessie (Gerard) Revette was born on March 7, 1927 in Bay City and has resided here all of his life. He was a member of Our Lady of Peace Parish - St. Mary's Church, American Legion Post #18, U.A.W. Local # 692 and retired from General Motors Corporation. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II. On February 18, 1946 he married his wife the former Nancy Nesbitt and she preceded him in death on November 17, 2010. Left behind to cherish his memories are his children and their spouses; Nancy (Tom Cortner) Revette Revard, Barbara (Daniel) Anthony, Darrell (Janet) Revette, Christine (Hugh, Butch) Allin, Denise (Ollie) Lafray, Daniel (Jill) Revette, Mary Beth (Michael) Fleming, twenty two grandchildren, fifty great grandchildren, two sisters, one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law; Joan (William) Schultz, Maryanne Young and two sisters-in-law, Shirley Revette and Helen Meyers and many nieces and nephews. Besides his parents and his wife he was preceded in death by one granddaughter; Danielle, his brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; Harriet (William) McParlan, Leone (William) Coonan, PFC Frank Revette, Darrell (Elaine) Revette, Jack (Mabel) Revette, Lyle Revette, Richard Young and Michael Revette. The Funeral Liturgy will take place Friday, February 20, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Peace Parish -St. Mary's Church, 607 E. S. Union St. Bay City, Michigan 48706. Following the Mass, members of the Bay County Veterans Council and the United States Navy will conduct Military Honors. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Patrick M. Jankowiak. A private Rite of Committal for the family will take place in Calvary Cemetery in Kawkawlin. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Thursday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Thursday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mr. Revette will be taken to the church on Friday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of the Mass. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you consider a memorial for Our Lady of Peace Parish Building Fund.
