Ronald "Ron" Z. Balwinski

Ron passed away Wednesday, January 2, 2019 at Covenant Health Care-Harrison at the age of 81 years. The son of the late Chester and Marion (Buczek) Balwinski was born December 27, 1937 in Bay City, Michigan. Ron retired from Dow Chemical Company's Sales and Marketing Department. He was a member the Knights of Columbus, Elks and Moose Lodge in Florida. Ron was an avid golfer, enjoyed vacationing in Florida, enjoyed spending quality time with his grandson at the cabin and in general loved people.
Left behind to cherish his memories is one son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Gena Balwinski; his grandson, Spencer Balwinski, one brother and sister-in-law, Norman and Ann Marie Balwinski; his brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Frank and Pat Szutkowski and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was also preceded in death by his wife, Mary Ann Balwinski; two sons, Steve and Mark Balwinski.
At the request of Ron cremation has taken place. A memorial service will take place Saturday, January 12, 2019 at 12:00 o'clock Noon at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Officiating will be Mary Ann Helie with private inurnment in St. Anthony's Cemetery in Fisherville. The family will be present at the funeral home on Saturday to receive visitors from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. In lieu of flowers those planning an expression of sympathy may wish to consider donations to Alzheimer's Foundation or the Pardee Cancer Treatment Fund.
