Ronald "Ron" E. Marcet

Ron passed away Friday, February 14, 2025 at Covenant Hospital with his family by his side at the age of 78. He was born November 26, 1946 to the Late Emil and Eda (Taylor) Marcet in Flint, Michigan. “Racer Ron” as he was often called, loved drag racing, and circle track racing. He enjoyed going out to eat, cooking, reading and spending time with his family.

Ron is survived by the love of his life, Janice Adamski; sister-in-law, Doris Marcet; three nephews, Wayne (Jackie) Marcet Jr., Billy Marcet and Michael (Jessica) Marcet; niece, Bev Marcet; four great nephews, Matthew Marcet, Steven Marcet, Andrew Marcet, Ryan Dirla and ten great great nephews and great great nieces. In addition to his parents, Ron is preceded in death by his brother, Wayne Marcet; and nephew, Terry Marcet.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, February 22, 2025 at Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be E.J. Brown with interment following at St. Patrick Cemetery. Friends may visit with the family on Friday, February 21, 2025 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and on Saturday, February 22, 2025 from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be considered to wishes of the family.
