Rose Ann passed away Wednesday, January 15, 2014 at her residence at the age of 70 years. The daughter of the late Eugene Matthew and Esther Edith ( Brzezinski ) Piesik was born May 31, 1943 in Bay City, MI. Rose Ann worked for many years as a home health aid. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church. Rose Ann was a former member of the Legion of Mary, the Altar Society and the League of Catholic Men and Women. Over the years Rose Ann was very active in the Girl Scouts of America. She is survived by one sister and brother-in-law; Kay and Richard Budzinski, one niece; Amy Avery and her husband; Jonathan, one nephew; Patrick Budzinski and his wife; Susan, her great nieces and nephews; Austin , Marilyn , Elizabeth, Charlie Ann, Blake and Alexis, her adopted sister; Mary Gourd and her special friends; Janet Jonas and Blanche. The Funeral Mass and Rite of Committal will take place Monday, January 20, 2014 at St. Boniface Catholic Church at 11:00 a.m. The celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Daniel Roa with private burial in St. Patrick's Cemetery. The family will be present at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. on Sunday from 2:00 to 6:00 p.m. Rose Ann will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services.
