Rose Marie Atwood

Rose went home to be with Jesus and her loving husband, Earl on Sunday, March 24, 2024 at Bay Shores Nursing Home at the age of 92. The daughter of the late Julius and Julia Kowalski was born December 13, 1931 in Bay City, Michigan.

Rose is survived by one daughter, Debbie (Mike) Letourneau; one son Greg (Julie) Atwood; five grandchildren, Amanda Atwood, Kyle (Nicole) Atwood, Rachel (Brad) Heinze, Rebecca (Kyle) Plumey and Melodie (Michael) McDonald; numerous great grandchildren living in Michigan, Texas and Tennessee; two sisters, Lilly Kowalski and Betty Dupuis and many wonderful nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents Rose was also preceded in death by her husband, Earl J. Atwood; three brothers, Marion, Edward and Virgil Kowalski and two sisters, Lorraine Kowalski and Angie Cramer. Rose was a true blessing to everyone who knew her and loved her. She will be deeply missed by her faithful niece, Sandy; best friend, Elaine and precious kitty, Dolly Girl.

Funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, March 29, 2024 at the Gephart Funeral Home. Officiating will be Ron and Diane Long with private interment following at Floral gardens Cemetery. Visitation will take place on Thursday, March 28, 2024 from 2:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Gephart Funeral Home and on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service. Memorial cards for the Bay County Humane Society will be available at the funeral home.
