Rose Mary (Finazzi) Militello

Militello, (Finazzi) Rose Mary of Bay City, Michigan passed away Wednesday afternoon January 11, 2012 at Brian's House. Age 94 years. She was born August 27, 1917 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late John and Emma (Adragna) Finazzi. She was a member of F.O.E. Ladies Auxiliary, St. Hyacinth Catholic Church, the Altar Society and senior citizens society. She and her husband Santo owned and operated Militello Produce Co. in Bay City for thirty years. Mrs. Militello is survived by five children; John and Marlene Militello, Roslyn and Ron Derdowski, Emma and Tom Powell, Michael Militello and Jeanne Peterson, twelve grandchildren; Janelle (Tony) Bermejo, Christina (William) Weisheim, Brian Militello, Jon (Whitney)Militello, Douglas (Michelle) Derdowski, Aaron (Melissa) Derdowski and Justin Derdowski, Tiffany Rose and Tracy Jo Powell, Brianne, Jared and Terrance Militello, seven great grandchildren; Ryan, Reid, Alyssa, Sophie, Vincent, Laila and Daphne Rose, one sister; Josephine Guerrazzi of Bay City, several brothers-in-law, sisters-in-law, nieces and nephews. In 1945 she married Santo Militello and he preceded her in death in 1992. She was also preceded in death by one son; Vincent Militello, one granddaughter; Melissa Militello, one sister; Jennie Diadone and three brothers; Joseph, Michael and William Finazzi. The Funeral Liturgy and Rite of Committal will be celebrated Monday, January 16, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. at St. Hyacinth Catholic Church. Celebrant will be Rev. Fr. Edward J. Konieczka with private interment in Floral Gardens Cemetery. Friends may call at the Gephart Funeral Home, Inc. Sunday from 2:00 to 8:00 p.m.. The Vigil for the Deceased will take place Sunday evening at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Mrs. Militello will be taken to the church on Monday to lie in state from 10:00 a.m. and until the time of service. Those planning an expression of sympathy are asked to consider a memorial to St. Vincent de Paul Society or St. Hyacinth Catholic Church
